Lyndsay Pittman has been named registrar at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Her duties include implementing academic policies established by the Office of Student Affairs, managing the student record database, and handling the distribution of all formal student academic records in the Department of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services.

Pittman is an Oklahoma native. After high school, Pittman attended the University of Oklahoma. Throughout college, she worked as a certified pharmacy technician at Walgreens as an aspiring pre-health sciences student. Pittman then developed an interest in psychology and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2006.

Pittman went on to work at ATI Career Training Center as a pharmacy technician instructor and was promoted to associate director of Education. In 2008, she became the registrar at ITT Technical Institute. Seeking a change from the for-profit education industry, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated with her master’s degree in adult and higher education – College Student Personnel. She then became the associate registrar at Langston University, part of the Oklahoma State University/A&M system. Pittman went on to become the Registrar at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City, a two-year college focusing on technical and professional degrees.

She will report to Darrylinn Todd, EdD, interim associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at UTHSC.
