Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital was named a Top Children’s Hospital by The Leapfrog Group. Announced today, the Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. The Top Hospital designation is awarded by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization.
Le Bonheur serves as a primary teaching affiliate for the University Tennessee Health Science Center and trains more than 350 pediatricians and specialists each year. Nationally recognized, Le Bonheur is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Children’s Hospital.
The selection is a testament to Le Bonheur being the best place for kids in the region. Le Bonheur has faithfully served this community for more than 60 years and is consistently evolving as a best children’s hospital in Tennessee and throughout the nation.

Le Bonheur is one of only two hospitals in Tennessee to be named on the 2017 list.
To qualify for the Top Hospitals distinction, hospitals must submit a Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The selection of Top Hospitals 2017 is based on surveys from nearly 1,900 hospitals.
