“Dr. Anand is one of the most well-respected physicians in his field, and we are honored to welcome him to Memphis,” said Russell Chesney, MD, chairman of the Department of Pediatrics for UTHSC. “His expertise and extensive study on the effects of neonatal pain will help us to better serve our patients and our community.”

Added Le Bonheur Children’s CEO Meri Armour, “We are preparing to move into a new hospital next year, and with this state-of-the-art facility comes a renewed dedication to recruiting top physician talent and emphasizing research. Dr. Anand is an important part of Le Bonheur’s vision for the future as we work to redefine the standard of pediatric care.”

According to Dr. William E. Evans, St. Jude director and CEO, “Dr. Anand brings to Memphis the international stature, academic vision and clinical leadership that will take pediatric critical care medicine to even greater heights. He has those unique talents required to synergize the outstanding programs that already exist at St. Jude, Le Bonheur and UT, and create something that will set our medical center apart from others.”
