Roughly six months after chancellor Steve Schwab announced his retirement, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is close to having a new leader.
UT Systems president Randy Boyd is recommending to the Board of Trustees that Dr. Peter F. Buckley be named the next UTHSC chancellor. Buckley is currently the dean of the School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and EVP of medical affairs for the VCU Health System.
