A recent poll shows Tennesseans are generally dissatisfied with the health care system and face barriers to care that include cost and long wait times.
The Harris Poll, which has tracked public opinions and social sentiment for the past 60 years, surveyed patient experience nationally and by state. “I’ve experienced it for myself, and I hear it from patients and from family members,” said Mallory Tatum, a physician assistant and assistant professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.
