New research for AstraZeneca vaccine suggests delaying second shot by months, not weeks

|

Researchers said the vaccine was 82 percent effective after 3 months in between doses compared to only 55 percent effective when the doses were given six weeks apart.“We have more vaccines and they’re all going to have little nuances associated with them,” said Dean Scott Strome from the UTHSC College of Medicine. “As we understand and more and more as more people get vaccinated will have very little risk benefits profiles.”
