New report lists UTHSC as one of the safest college campuses in the U.S.

In wake of Tuesday’s deadly shooting at the University of North Carolina, a new report lists the safest college campuses in the country. Memphis’ University of Tennessee Health Science Center is ranked in the top 10 according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security. Wednesday, the director of Tennessee Emergency Management Agency got a first-hand look at its state-of-the-art technology. It includes wireless and keyless access for all buildings, 2,000 cameras. The campus is also in the process of a multi-million-dollar security improvement project.
