Shelby County Schools (SCS) partnered with Southwest Tennessee Community College (SWTCC) to launch the Medical District High School (MDHS) in fall 2021.
Located on Southwest’s Union Avenue campus, the school offers courses that give students the chance earn an associate degree in general studies, allied health, or information technology, along with their high school diploma.
The inaugural class of MDHS students is set to graduate in 2025; and when they do, many will be given another opportunity, thanks to a new partnership with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).
