A high-risk obstetrical care program developed at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Regional One Health in Memphis has expanded overseas.
Dr. Giancarlo Mari, professor and chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UTHSC and founder of the Obstetrical Feasible Approach to Safety Training (OB F.A.S.T.) program, along with Dr. Danielle Tate, Dr. Ravpreet Gill, and Bonnie Miller, a Regional One patient safety nurse in obstetrics and gynecology, traveled to China recently to instruct health care workers from 36 hospitals in the Henan Province of China. Those workers will then train other health care workers across the country.
