Here’s a simple truth: We need nurses.
The pandemic has underlined how crucial the care is that nurses provide and highlighted how important it is to nurture the education of future nurses.
“The existing nursing shortage was exacerbated by the pandemic, making it even more critical that we stay on pace to ensure that we are educating and graduating nurses for our community,” said Wendy Likes, Ph.D., dean of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Nursing. “At the same time, the community needs all health care professionals to pull together to support them through these challenging times.”
