First African American to graduate from UT Health Science Center to celebrate release of autobiography

Alvin Crawford, MD, was the first African American to attend and graduate from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. On Monday, February 26, he will return to UT Health Science Center for a celebration and book signing of his recently published autobiography “The Bone Doctor’s Concerto: Music, Surgery, and the Pieces in Between,”, as well as a presentation about his research and visit with students.
