For Dr. Bill Novick, performing complex pediatric heart surgeries while air raid sirens blare isn’t too unusual.
For almost 30 years, the Memphis doctor and University of Tennessee Health Science Center professor and his colleagues have traveled the world performing these surgeries. At the same time, they work to build the capabilities in each community for local hospitals and healthcare providers to do what Novick traveled thousands of miles to do: save children’s lives.
