Amid FAFSA problems, Memphis students file for college aid

They were part of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop that Memphis-Shelby County Schools hosted. “Our higher education partners were really interested in what can we do to help support our high school students with pursuing post-secondary endeavors,” said MSCS High School Counseling Service Manager Constance Certion. “We know that financial aid is often a big barrier. The event was a continuation of the 901 FAFSA series that MSCS has held this year at local colleges, including the University of Memphis, Southwest Tennessee Community College, University of Tennessee Health Science Center and LeMoyne-Owen College.
