Former Gov. Winfield Dunn, a dentist who served as Tennessee’s governor from 1971-75, was honored today with a bronze bust unveiled in the lobby of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry building that bears his name.

Gov. Bill Haslam’s fiscal year 2017 budget proposal unveiled Monday night includes $39 million for a new College of Dentistry building at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and to renovate existing dentistry school facilities.
