UTHSC Graduation Set for December 3

UTHSC will hold graduation ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. on Friday December 3 in the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts at the Memphis Cook Convention Center.

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will hold graduation ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 3 in the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts at the Cook Convention Center.

The university will graduate 107 students from the Colleges of Allied Health Sciences, Graduate Health Sciences, Medicine and Nursing.

Richard Peppler, PhD, dean of the College of Graduate Health Sciences will deliver the charge to the graduates. Dr. Peppler has been a member of the UTHSC faculty since 1985 and was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award by the UT National Alumni Association in 1994. As dean of the College of Graduate Health Sciences, he is responsible for seven graduate programs with more than 340 students and 350 faculty members. He is also the associate dean for academic and faculty affairs in the College of Medicine. In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Peppler also serves as a professor of anatomy and neurobiology. In 1999, Dr. Peppler retired from the U.S. Army Reserve with the rank of colonel after 35 years of service.
