Good morning campus!
On Monday May 5, 2014 Network Services will be upgrading our Cisco NAC servers to a new system (called ISE) that will allow us to simplify our wireless, offer better security, and make network guest access easier.
To begin this process, all workstations whether Mac or PC need to be running a current version of the NAC agent. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, April 9th, we will begin upgrading all computers to a current agent. For most computers this process is transparent, but if your computer has an older version of the agent, you will be prompted to upgrade to the more recent version the next time you reboot or wake your computer from sleep.
If you are using Mac OS X Mavericks or Windows 8.1, please browse to https://www.uthsc.edu/nac (copy and past this link into your browser) at your earliest convenience but before May 5th to install the new client and to ensure uninterrupted network connectivity.
Thanks for your patience and assistance as we upgrade to the new servers.
