It has come to the attention of the CIO Advisory Committee (CIOAC) that, with Google prescribed restrictions, Google is now willing to sign a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) with the university that makes the majority of their applications suite HIPAA compliant.
Even though this online software is cost free to educational institutions, there is always a minimal cost to administer such a suite on our campus. Therefore, before advising ITS to implement such a suite, the CIOAC would like to confirm that there is sufficient campus interest for using these types of cloud-based offerings, i.e., Google Apps for Education. To make this determination, it is necessary that we include the campus by asking you to complete a very short survey. Note: If you are not familiar with the Google Apps Suite, please view the included videos which help illustrate the added collaborative value of these applications.
