UTHSC Annual Campus Food Drive
As needs in the community increase and tough economic conditions continue, the Mid-South Food Bank has felt a drain on its resources, leaving many shelves empty. In light of these conditions, the campus Food Drive Subcommittee is desperately seeking your assistance with the Annual Campus Food Drive. We are collecting any non-perishable items and everyone’s “pocket change!”
We need your pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars or non-perishable foods. You will find “Food Drive Piggy Banks” that need your pocket change and food boxes at various stations around campus into which you can drop your food items. We welcome any donation amount. This effort could provide a much needed infusion of resources to the Food Bank year round and ease the strain of its work, assisting those who partner with them to meet the needs in our community. The Campus Food Drive donation deadline is Monday, December 1, 2014.
Monetary donations are also accepted (if donating via check, please make the check payable to: The Mid-South Food Bank). Those who prefer to make this kind of contribution should contact the food drive representative in their building or go online to www.midsouthfoodbank.org. If money is donated online, please enter emoore@uthsc.edu as the email (so UTHSC’s contributions can be tracked collectively).
