The Executive Committee and the Audit and Compliance Committee of University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold virtual meetings on May 8.
Following continued guidance by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19 and in compliance with the Tennessee Pledge and local guidelines, the meetings will be held virtually with all Board members participating electronically or by telephone. Interested individuals are encouraged to watch the meeting online. The meeting will be webcast live and archived for later viewing; a link to the webcast will be available at tennessee.edu.
The Executive Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. EDT/7:30 a.m. CDT. The Audit and Compliance Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. EDT/9:30 a.m. CDT.
Items on the Executive Committee agenda include:
- Update from the president
- Appointment of general counsel
- Approval of subeasement and related contracts related to the TVA East Tower
- Grant of authority to adjust tuition and fees for summer sessions
- Appointment of non-voting student member of the Board
- Appointment of faculty member to the Education, Research, and Service Committee
Items on the Audit and Compliance Committee public agenda include:
- UT System Title IX annual report
- UT System Clery Act compliance update
- COVID-19 updates
Following the public session, the committee will convene in a nonpublic, executive session pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 4-35-108 to review:
- Litigation update
- Fraud, waste, and abuse update
- External audit
