TOMORROW: Global Mental Health with Dr. Arthur Kleinman

We are delighted to present a conversation on health disparities with world renowned medical anthropologist, Dr. Arthur Kleinman. Dr. Kleinman’s lecture will focus on Global Mental Health: Social Inequality, Social Justice and Those Experiencing Mental Illness. Please mark your calendars and join us from 4-5 PM TOMORROW, Thursday, March 3, in GEB A102.

Drawing on his work directing the World Mental Health Report and the World Bank’s Out of the Shadows Report, Dr. Kleinman will join us via Zoom to discuss why social justice is critical to global mental health and what the needs are for improving global mental health, especially amongst the poor in both low-resource and high-resource countries.

This opportunity is open to the entire UTHSC community, and will count as a Conversations on Health Disparities credit on the Social Determinants of Health Co-Curricular Certificate. Please RSVP via Engage here. If you are unable to join us in person, please email Jess Guthrie for a zoom link.
