The Tennessee Clinical and Translational Science Institute (TN-CTSI) recommends a seminar offered by Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute on “COVID-19 Research from a Policy Influence Perspective” at its next Translational Science Seminar Series webinar from noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 18. This seminar is the first in a three-part series focused on health policy.
In this seminar, Robert Lennon, M.D., associate professor of family and community medicine, will present his team’s experience with COVID-19 research from a policy influence perspective. The purpose of his team’s research was to gain insight and understanding of the public’s knowledge of COVID-19, their intended compliance with CDC recommendations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and how they received information about COVID-19. The researchers collected data in an extensive global survey, translated into 23 languages with more than 18,000 respondents from 70 countries.
Charleen Hsuan, Ph.D., will moderate this seminar. Hsuan offers health policy impact consultations through the institute.
The Translational Science Seminar Series: Bench to Bedside and Beyond encourages an engaged translational science workforce through panel discussions and practical application information.
