The Department of Finance and Operations wishes to announce the retirement of Chief Lue Ida Walls-Upchurch, Th.D., MALS, MRA, and Sergeant Constance Lake.
Chief Ida Walls-Upchurch began her career at UTHSC in May 1983. She has served as Chief of Police and Director of Parking Services since 1997. Chief Upchurch will retire on June 30, 2014 with 31 years of distinguished service.
Sergeant Constance Lake has been employed at UTHSC since 2006 and most recently has worked as Administrative Coordinator for Campus Police. Sgt. Lake will retire on May 30, 2014 with 21 combined years of service at UTHSC and other state agencies.
A Retirement Reception will be held for both
Chief Upchurch and Sgt. Lake
on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at
Campus Police Headquarters Auditorium, 740 Court
