Title: Sensitivity, specificity, and predictive values: what the clinician should know
In this presentation, we will define validity/accuracy of diagnostic tests, sensitivity, specificity and predictive values. We will discuss the applications of sensitivity, specificity, and predictive values in medicine. Moreover, we will discuss how to evaluate the accuracy of diagnostic and predictive classifiers.
An interactive exercise will take place in which participants will have time to practice identifying sensitivity, specificity, and predictive values.
