The Tennessee Institute of Regenerative Medicine (TennIRM) and the Division of Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Health Professions welcomes Dr. LaToya Green. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She has completed both educational and clinical research. Her overall clinical research focuses on blood flow restriction (BFR) training to address muscle imbalances. BFR is a treatment option for certain candidates to gain strength in the upper and lower body without overloading and overstressing the joints. Recently, to address muscle imbalances more effectively, Dr. Green began incorporating manual therapy techniques, such as myofascial release, with blood flow restriction training.
