The Division of Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Health Professions welcomes Dr. Arun Maharaj, a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is working with Dr. Kirsten Ness’s research group. He received his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University and his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Texas Tech University. His research interest involves the investigation of vascular function and its association with cardiac dysfunction in childhood cancer survivors.
His seminar is titled “Effects of L-Citrulline Supplementation and Low-Intensity Resistance Exercise Training on Vascular Function, Body Composition, and Muscle Strength in Hypertensive Postmenopausal Women” at noon (CST) on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
