OBJECTIVES:

Following this activity, the participants should be able to:

  • Gain a historical perspective of Lithium’s use and role in current Psychiatric treatment
  • Explore leading theories on Lithium’s Mechanism of Action
  • Analyze basic formulations and dosing recommendations of Lithium
  • Review of Lithium’s side effect profile and management strategies for combating side effects
