UTHSC and Optum, our EAP provider, are excited to provide a series of training classes designed to help employees on a variety of topics related to workplace and work/life issues. These interactive training programs will be conducted by members of the Optum network of experienced training professionals. The workshops will utilize a variety of group exercises, case studies and facilitated discussions.
Over the next few months, we will offer a series of three Wellness and Work/Life classes that will help employees develop their work/life management skills.
Series One – Topic: Preventing Burnout
Class Description: Many people feel pressured to work faster, harder, and longer hours. This can lead to burnout, resulting in decreased productivity and dissatisfaction. This class will examine causes of burnout and potential solutions along with ideas to decrease the likelihood of experiencing burnout.
Participants will: Brainstorm possible solutions, determine what they can control, identify causes of burnout, and make a personal plan to reduce burnout.
