The Office of Graduate Medical Education is proud to announce that Douglas Paull MD and Linda Williams, RN, MSI, Co-Directors of the VA Interprofessional Fellowship Program in Patient Safety from the VHA National Center for Patient Safety in Ann Arbor, Michigan will be leading this patient safety educational and experiential learning event. The sessions will be repeated for three days to maximize attendance for this important ACGME initiative. The program is open to all UTHSC faculty, residents, fellows, and students.
The AM sessions will include cutting edge information on human factor engineering, situational awareness, crew resource management, team work, and communication strategies. This will be held at the Memphis Bioworks Auditorium at 20 S. Dudley Ave. Memphis, TN. Space for the AM sessions is limited to 200.
The afternoon session will include clinical simulation with interactive “real-life patient scenarios” with sessions at the Interprofessional Education and Clinical Simulation Center at 920 Madison Ave. Space will be limited for the afternoon sessions to 60 participants so register soon to reserve your spot.
