NEW Biostatistics Course Offered this Fall: Using R for Biostatistics I

New 1 credit hour course will introduce R statistical software computing associated with topics discussed in Biostatistics I. This Fall, Thursdays from 11am-12noon, 66 N Pauline, Room 400, instructor is Zoran Bursac, PhD, Professor of Biostatistics, Preventive Medicine, zbursac@uthsc.edu . Register using BIOE 840 – Section 1 – Special topics. CRN: 43603.

EdTech Tip of the Week: Wrapping Up the Blackboard Course Cleanup

Please review the list of courses in Blackboard where you serve as the primary course director or facilitator. Decide which of your courses will not be needed in the future and can be purged from the system. Communicate this information to either your UTHSC Blackboard Admins or the designated point of contact within your college or program that initially communicated with you about the cleanup.

Registration for fall classes has been open in Banner for several weeks now. Please register for your classes as soon as possible. For help with Banner registration, contact the Office of the Registrar at 901-448-5568 or registrar@uthsc.edu. You may also stop by the One Stop Shop located to the west of the concourse in the 910 Madison building.

Dr. Samuel Dagogo-Jack Interviewed About Diabetes on “The Best Times” on WKNO-TV

On “The Best Times” on WKNO-TV, Channel 10, Dr. Samuel Dagogo-Jack, director of the Division of Endocrinology at UTHSC, was interviewed about diabetes. In a very informative segment at the end of the 30-minute show, he defined the disease, talked about the signs, discussed treatment, and gave advice on how to avoid it.
