UTHSC has acquired a light-sheet fluorescence microscope (LSFM) from the LaVision, Germany for its imaging core. The LaVision scientist will come next week from Feb. 20 to 22 to install it and do a short training course. The LSFM is mainly used to acquire high-resolution image of transparent 3D tissues in a fast speed. It has been used in neuroscience, cell biology, development biology .The main advantage is the fast speed, deep imaging into the tissue, low phototoxicity, low bleaching without sectioning the tissue. If you are interested in the training please let me know. The training will occur on the second floor of TSRB. My office is TSRB 227.
