Are you actively considering a startup as a part of your research plan, or simply want to keep your options open? A startup can greatly accelerate the path to seeing your research impact patients. If you want to build a research strategy that maximizes your chances of raising private investment to take over after grant funding ends, we want to help. The discussion in this meeting will focus on how to work with the UT tech transfer office to design a research strategy that supports both scientific publication and commercialization, how to find SBIR and STTR grants, and how to connect to the local entrepreneurial community. Working with a startup is not for everyone, but in today’s research funding environment, it can be a smart approach. Come ask questions, talk strategy, and hear about success stories.

Lunch will be provided for the first 50 attendees!
