This week, Gov. Lee unveiled an updated approach to public education that prioritizes students and invests in the future of Tennessee.
The Tennessee Investment in Student Achievement (TISA) Act is a student-centered legislative proposal that includes input from thousands of Tennessee parents, students, teachers and administrators over months of collaboration, updating a 30-year-old funding formula.
The plan puts students first and will ensure every Tennessee student reads proficiently by the third grade, is prepared for life beyond the classroom and receives support based on their individual needs.
