Global Accessibility Awareness Day – Thursday, May 17th

|

The target audience of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is the design, development, usability, and related communities who build, shape, fund and influence technology and its use. While people may be interested in the topic of making technology accessible and usable by persons with disabilities, the reality is that they often do not know how or where to start. Awareness comes first. The idea of a Global Accessibility Awareness Day started with a single blog post written by a Los Angeles-based web developer, Joe Devon.

To mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Blackboard Inc. is promoting a series of webinars covering trending topics on digital access in education. Join the Teaching and Learning Center and Office of Equity and Diversity Thursday, May 17th 2018, to watch a series of webinars hosted around the world. Each webinar takes place at 920 Madison Ave. Suite 424 as outlined on the schedule below.
