Many students may be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits! Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Congress has temporarily waived some policies which have prevented students from accessing SNAP in the past.
If you are enrolled at least half-time and you are eligible to participate in a state- or federally funded Work Study program, or if you have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 (based on your FAFSA), you are included in SNAP eligibility! Read more about current qualifying requirements for students on the USDA website. For more information on SNAP, check out the Tennessee Justice Center’s SNAP page. If you’ve looked at the requirements and think you may qualify, you can apply for SNAP online.
