The end of the academic term marks the time to recycle your Blackboard course. The archive and recycle process allows you to save course content (including the full grade center) and create a course backup for future grade disputes or in case your course content is accidentally removed. The last step of this process clears your course enrollment and deletes all student data in preparation for the next time the course is taught. Thus, you should complete this process at the end of the term after final grades have been submitted.
If you teach a course that is yearlong this is also a good time to archive your courses so you can have a copy of your course as it stands for the end of this calendar year.
