Drug and Alcohol Free Campus and Workplace


The University of Tennessee is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all faculty, staff and students. Therefore, in sustaining compliance with applicable state and federal laws, Human Resources Policy 720 prohibits the unlawful use, manufacture, possession, distribution or dispensing of drugs (“controlled substances” as defined in the Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. 812) and alcohol on University property or during University activities.

The University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a great resource and can be reached directly at (855) 437-3486. In addition Human Resources (HR) will be sponsoring a Drug Free Workplace class offered through EAP, on October 14th at 10:00 a.m., in the HR Conference Room (910 Madison Ave., Suite 725).
