Dr. Tracy M. Hagemann named the new Associate Dean of the Nashville Campus at UTHSC College of Pharmacy

Dr. Tracy M. Hagemann, Director of Clinical Affairs and Professor at the University of Oklahoma (OU) College of Pharmacy, has been named the new Associate Dean of the Nashville Campus at UTHSC College of Pharmacy. She has been in academic pharmacy since 1996, serving in various academic and clinical roles. Dr. Hagemann will begin her new role at UTHSC in October 2014.

After graduating from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Pharmacy in 1994, Dr. Hagemann completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis, Tennessee followed by a Pediatric Specialty Residency at the University of Oklahoma and Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma. As a faculty member at the OU College of Pharmacy, she served as Program Director for the PGY2 Pediatric Residency for 11 years and Program Director of the Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Fellowship for 2 years. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the OU College of Medicine. With a research focus in pediatric pharmacotherapy, Dr. Hagemann has authored or co-authored more than 45 publications. She has received many teaching awards including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Experiential Education Section 2014 Award of Excellence in Scholarship in Experiential Education. Dr. Hagemann has also been very active in state and national organizations, serving as President of the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP), Chair of the Legislative Committee (OSHP), Chair of the Pediatric Practice Research Network of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and Faculty Delegate to AACP. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG), as Chair of the Pediatric SIG of AACP, and has been appointed to the Council on Public Policy of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). She is an AACP Academic Leadership Fellow and a Fellow in ACCP and PPAG. In addition to academic and teaching awards, Dr. Hagemann has received many pharmacy practice awards including the Distinguished Young Pharmacist–Oklahoma Award in 2005 and the OSHP Pharmacist of the Year award in 2008.  Please join me in welcoming Dr. Tracy Hagemann to our College.
