Happy Holidays! The UTHSC Shelby County Relative Caregiver Program is asking for new toys and gifts in support of its annual “Winter Holiday Giveaway,” scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2014. The program will accept donations for children and teens, ages 0-18 from November 12 – December 17. While gifts for all age groups will be accepted, our primary request is for donations for those ages 12-16. If you or your department would like to participate, please deliver the gifts to the mail room of the UTHSC Boling Center located on the 1st floor of 711 Jefferson Avenue. The UTHSC Shelby County Relative Caregiver Program is designed to support families who are raising other relative’s children. Children may be cared for by a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or other extended family member. The UTHSC Shelby County Relative Caregiver Program serves an average of 150 families and 300 children yearly.
