Donation Drive for School Supplies

The UT Health Science Center is partnering with Health Students Teaching Memphis Youth (a student organization in the College of Medicine), Omega Ministries, and the Memphis Medical Society to distribute backpacks full of school supplies to K-12 students in the Memphis community – and we need your help to fill the backpacks!

UTHSC will be collecting donations of school supplies at several buildings on campus now through Wednesday, August 10. Monetary donations will also be accepted on Wednesday, August 3, in the Madison Plaza Lobby (910 Madison Avenue) next to the HSC Hub, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Backpack Giveaway

Please join us for the Back to School Supply Giveaway, where we will be giving away 500 FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to K-12 students!

Saturday, August 13

9:00 am – 11:00 am

Van Vleet Building, 3 N. Dunlap Street

This is a drive-through event. Attendees should enter the driveway of the Van Vleet Building off Dunlap Street under the “UTHSC Campus Police” sign.

Backpack distribution is limited to one per child, with a limit of four children per car.
