TITLE: “Lessons from American Rural Surgery for the Whole World”

  • Knowledge: List the major issues in scope of practice of rural surgery by a general surgeon.
  • Abilities & Skills: Use judgement in arranging transfers and follow up for rural situations.
  • Medical Practice & Care Provided: Relate the importance of initial surgery treatments in rural emergencies.
  • Patient Outcomes: Demonstrate how to prevent delay in surgical care.
