The Office of Equity and Diversity is excited to announce that the application period for the Diversity and Inclusion Mini-Grants is now open! All faculty, staff, students, and trainees are eligible to apply for up to $3,000 to fund a diversity and inclusion project. The deadline to submit grant proposals has been extended until Friday, May 1, 2020 at 11:59 pm. Recipients will be notified soon after the deadline.
Diversity and Inclusion Mini-Grants are targeted toward creative projects that impact the diversity goals of the university’s strategic plan.
The goals of the D&I Mini-Grant Program are:
- to encourage faculty, staff, and students to be actively involved in supporting the university’s cross-cutting strategic goal to foster and sustain a diverse and inclusive campus culture;
- to promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment efforts;
- to support in the development of initiatives and programs designed to aid in retention of diverse faculty, staff, students, and trainees; and
- to fund initiatives and programs with innovative approaches to diversity and inclusion.
Through this program, individuals and groups will have the opportunity to provide innovative programming to seek engagement from all members of the UTHSC community in our diverse and inclusive culture.
