College of Nursing – ACME Nurse Midwifery Preaccreditation Third Party Comments

The Nurse-Midwifery concentration of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Nursing located in Memphis, TN will be undergoing review for preaccreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME). A site visit is scheduled for October 7-9, 2020 and the program will be reviewed for preaccreditation at the February 2021, ACME Board of Review Meeting.

In accordance with ACME Policies and Procedures (December 2011, revised December 2019), ACME is seeking written third-party comments concerning the qualifications for preaccreditation of the nurse-midwifery education program at UTHSC. Upon requests, comments will be considered confidential.

Your comments will be included with other program materials undergoing review in February 2021. In all instances, your comments must directly relate to the preaccreditation of the program and the ACME Criteria for Programmatic Preaccreditation, (December 2009, Revised June 2013, April 2015, August 2019, revised March 2020). This document may be found at ACME Documents. Please cite the criterion of concern in your comments.
