The Division of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Professions welcomes Dr. Catherine Holt. She is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics and Neurology and the Program of Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Holt is an early intervention occupational therapist and former postdoctoral research associate at Washington University School of Medicine. A native of Silver Spring, MD, she earned her occupational therapy degree (2010) and completed her research training (2019) at Washington University in St. Louis. She completed a postdoctoral externship at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. As a clinician, Dr. Hoyt recognizes the gaps in assessment, particularly for early identification of disability among children with sickle cell disease and the real and devastating impact delayed identification of disability can have on long-term outcomes for children.
Her seminar is titled “Research Informed Clinical Practice: Balancing a Career in Research as a Clinical Provider” and will be presented live on Monday, August 1, 2022, at noon, in the GEB, room A103
