My name is Kaci DeJarnette, and I am a second-year medical student. I wanted to tell you all about the Necessity Drive happening at the Union Ave. Chick-fil-a! Shelby County officials have recently discovered that there are girls throughout the county who are skipping school during their periods because they do not have the necessary hygienic products at home. So, Chick-fil-a is taking action to address this need!
They are collecting tampons, pads, deodorant, soap, socks, and underwear at the Union Ave. location on September 14, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm if you would like to take your donations yourself (and maybe grab dinner!). If you are unable to make it but still want to help, there will be boxes in the GEB A hall next week, starting Monday, September 10th. Just drop your donations in there and I will make sure that they get to the drive!

Thank you all so much!
