Lifeblood will be on campus Tuesday, February 6th (10am – 3:30pm). While blood donations are always needed, the month of January has been very hard on Lifeblood’s collections. For the Mid-South area, Lifeblood is at a loss of over 800 units of blood, as a result of things such as the flu, and inclement weather for several days. Your donations next week mean even more than ever before to help Lifeblood with their dwindling supplies. UTHSC our help is needed! Remember, just one unit of blood can save up to three lives.
There is always a need for blood and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Every 2 seconds, someone needs blood. Most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
- Sign-up today to donate. It’s safe, simple and the entire process takes less than an hour.
- Anyone who is at least 17 years old, weighs 115 pounds and is in relatively good health can donate.
- When you donate you will receive a t-shirt, so you can encourage others to celebrate life.
- Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be honored first.
