American Heart Association (AHA) Kick Off (2.1.18)

|

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of adults across all demographics and economic backgrounds. It is the #2 killer of children.  Join us in efforts of supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans.

The 2018 Mid-South Heart Walk will take place Saturday, April 28th.

On Thursday, February 1st, we will host a kick-off campaign to encourage participation as a walker and/or captain. You can receive more information on how to support on Thursday at 2:00, SAC 305. The first 50 people to enter will receive a door prize. University Health Services and Campus Rec staff will be on site to interact.

Friday, February 2nd is National Go Red For Women Day. AHA reports, 89% of people that participate in this event make at least one healthy behavior change. We are asking that all UTHSC faculty, staff and students wear RED on Friday, February 2nd, join us for a group photo at 1:30pm in the College of Pharmacy Lobby and upload your photos to social media using the hashtag #UTHSCGoRed2018.
