1. Code of Conduct
Faculty, Staff, and Students,
The events that have unfolded this election year and the unlawful activities that followed at our national capitol have grieved and concerned us all.
I want to share with you the comments of UT President Boyd. He reminds us of our duties to each other, to our University, to our state, and to our nation.

2. Transition Your Zoom Account to a HIPAA Zoom Account
ITS has been working with UT Knoxville to strengthen Zoom security for the campus, and now it’s time to transition your Zoom account to a HIPAA Zoom account! Your new HIPAA Zoom account provides an extra level of protection for all UTHSC Zoom calls and meetings.
Licensed Users: You must follow these instructions to continue to use Zoom.
Basic Users: You must request a licensed account to continue to use Zoom by filling out this form, then following these instructions.
If you are experiencing issues with your current Zoom meeting links, you must switch to the HIPAA Zoom account for the links to work.
If you have any difficulties, please contact the Helpdesk at 901.448.2222 or email helpdesk@uthsc.edu.
3. Submit a Selfie to Support National Wear Red Day
UTHSC typically recognizes National Wear Red Day each year with the campus wearing red for a group photo to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women. Although we are still not able to gather in a group for a photo this year, we want to participate in this year’s National Wear Red Day, Friday, February 5.
All faculty, staff, and students can help support National Wear Red Day:
- Take a selfie wearing red – a shirt, jacket, scarf, earrings, boa, glasses, hat, and/or anything else red!
- Email your “red selfie” to communications@uthsc.edu by Wednesday, February 3
- Share the 2021 campus photo – a “red selfie” grid – from UTHSC’s social media channels on Friday, February 5
The three most creative selfies will be awarded a Starbucks gift card courtesy of the Office of Equity and Diversity! So, pull out your red, snap those selfies, and send them our way!
