University Health Services (UHS) will be providing FREE biometric wellness screenings of your height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose (sugar) levels from now through November 13, 2020!
Why should you get a biometric wellness screening?
- Learn about your health and risks you may not currently recognize, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
- Gain a dedicated and convenient Primary Care Provider (PCP) , if you don’t currently have one, who can navigate you through routine visits to promote good health, prevent disease, and treat early symptoms of serious conditions.
- Earn up to $250 per employee and $500 per household by registering at myactivehealth.com/wellnesstn and taking an online health assessment, having UHS submit the results of the biometric screening, and more!
Many UTHSC employees have taken advantage of the convenience that UHS provides, and benefitted from the important results that a biometric screening can provide! UHS is located in the 910 Madison Building on the 9th floor. If you come to UHS for a biometric screening, you will receive an iHealth Wave Wireless Swim, Activity, and Sleep Tracker to be used with the iHealth App!
Please be advised that you will not incur any work penalties and you are not required to use sick or annual leave for your biometric screening at UHS. The same applies when you schedule a follow-up appointment to receive your results. UTHSC cares about you and your health!
To schedule an appointment, call 901.448.5630 or request an appointment via the patient portal link at uthsc.edu/health-services/home. UHS is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and closed daily from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
