The College of Graduate Health Science would like to invite graduate students to participate in the Three Minute Thesis Competition!
The event will be held on Friday October 26 from 5:30 pm – 7 pm in the Freedman Auditorium of the Hamilton Eye Institute on UTHSC campus. Food will be provided!
An 80,000-word thesis typically takes nine hours to present. Could you present yours in three minutes?
Since 2015, the international Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition has helped graduate students hone their communication skills by challenging them to share their research in three minutes in a way anyone could understand. Accept the challenge!
Why participate in 3MT?
- Competitors will have 3 minutes and 1 static PowerPoint slide to summarize their entire thesis.
- It’s a good opportunity to publicize your research, build your communication skills and enrich your CV.
- Cash prizes will be given to 1st and 2nd place winners as well as the people’s choice.
- The 1st place winner chosen by the judges will have a chance to participate in the regional 3MT competition with travel paid for by UTHSC.
Please consider participating in this opportunity to improve your skills as a researcher!
